Digital signage is software that is used to convey your message, information or advertisements to your customers, students or colleagues. In simplistic terms, digital signage can be a PowerPoint presentation or a professional digital signage software package which is displayed on an LCD monitor, plasma screen, multiple monitors, video walls or through a projector onto a projection screen, a suspended rear projection screen or even a wall. 

For instance, in a shopping mall or airport you could have advertisements displayed on plasma or LCD monitors either wall or ceiling mounted.  In the restaurants or lounges you could display restaurant menus or bar prices, whilst in the departure lounge or shopping mall exit areas, digital signage to show flight times or bus and train timetables.

Specialist digital signage software allows you to create images and then to display these, either with through simple rolling-poster up and down images, or with all-singing, all-dancing, digital signage software that allows animation, live video, news feeds, flying images and other effects to get your message across. You can then, depending on the digital signage software, displaying your image from your PC onto your display screen, or use a digital signage player for 24/7 message display.
